A filter that blocks infrared and ultraviolet light, especially recommended for use with older model cameras and camcorders. Effectively prevents red or blue tint on photos and videos.
The HOYA UV & IR CUT is a filter specifically designed for cameras and camcorders that do not have a built-in counterpart at the sensor, but also older models that may not handle filtration as well as modern ones. This filter effectively blocks ultraviolet light wavelengths below 390 nm and infrared light wavelengths above 700 nm, enabling the device to capture only the visible light spectrum. As a result, it eliminates the unpredictable blue tint, allowing for clear images with sharp details and natural colors. It proves particularly useful in analog photography, as well as when using neutral density filters and long exposure times. Additionally, it minimizes the impact of infrared light on image quality and coloration.
