HOYA HD Mk II IRND1000 is a unique neutral density filter that offers much more than just exposure correction. In addition to its standard 10-stop exposure reduction, the filter also provides excellent color reproduction. Thanks to its Infrared Neutral Density (IRND) technology, this filter effectively cuts out infrared light, resulting in photos and videos that are free of unpredictable rusty tints.
Neutral density (ND) filters have a vast range of creative applications in photography and film. Their primary function is to increase exposure time, creating a motion blur effect that works particularly well in landscape photography. They are also incredibly useful for allowing wider aperture openings in the lens, enabling you to achieve a desirable depth of field even in bright lighting conditions.

MASTERING THE EXPOSURE
Neutral density filters uniformly darken the entire surface of the image, so they can be used to increase the exposure time or allow a wider aperture on the lens.
