HOYA R72 Infrared is a filter specifically designed for infrared photography, offering a remarkable opportunity to showcase the world from an entirely new perspective. When mounted on your lens, it effectively blocks all visible light, permitting only infrared rays above 720 nm to penetrate. The results are nothing short of surreal, particularly when capturing verdant landscapes or architecture. In these scenarios, the filter dramatically transforms the lush greenery into delicate hues of white, while the sky adopts a profound and evocative blue tone.
Images captured in the infrared spectrum are a captivating and unique alternative to traditional photography, offering a wealth of untapped creative opportunities for advanced artists seeking extraordinary experiences. The R72 Infrared filter unlocks a vast array of possibilities for experimenting with imagery, enabling the creation of diverse aesthetics. From delicate pastel compositions to striking and abstract masterpieces, this filter empowers artists to explore uncharted artistic territories.
UNVEIL THE INVISIBLE
Discover the HOYA R72 Infrared filter, a reliable tool that reveals the world in a truly unique way. By effectively blocking visible light, it allows only near-infrared rays to pass through, creating images filled with mystical charm and unique tones. Embrace the magical possibilities of artistic expression with this filter, opening up new realms of creativity.
FOR THE INITIATED
Delving into the realm of infrared photography demands certain precautions to capture the finest images. The R72 Infrared filter significantly reduces the exposure by approximately 15 stops, making manual exposure adjustments necessary. This includes extending the exposure time and fine-tuning the white balance. Due to these considerations, this filter proves ideal for landscape and architectural photography.
BOUNDLESS CREATIVITY
Using IR filters is a creative process that involves constant experimentation and discovery. Their effects can be unpredictable, yet that's what makes shooting in the infrared spectrum such a fascinating source of inspiration. The wide tonal range of the images allows for imaginative post-production and exploration of different processing techniques.
UNLIMITED EXPRESSION
Proper post-production plays a key role in bringing out the full potential of images captured with an IR filter – it is through this process that they achieve their stunning appearance. Infrared images are often converted to black and white, but more advanced photographers take it a step further, utilizing channel-switching false color techniques to achieve truly surreal results.
